The worthwhile considerations are whether caravans can safely come and go, and who owns the city. If you're starting out as a Khergit, then Tulga might well be an ideal place to start? Tulga can be relied upon to have a good supply of cheap spices but the journey to get there is often a fairly big deal, I might have to ride past several enemy factions to get there, and the entire region is swarming with fast moving bandits.
Because I like it and I'm there a lot, that makes for a good place to start my trading empire.įor example, Tulga is one of my favourites but it is never my first choice. It will be easy to come and go without too much hassle, it might have the ladies I'm interested in dating, or throw feasts for the lords I want to talk to, or have tournaments that I want to enter, etc. As such, it will be a city that I go to often. My approach is to buy a business in a city that I like. The economy is dynamic, things change all of the time.
